Recently, four West Potomac football players signed on to take their games to the college ranks next fall. Trevor Normyle will play football for the Shenandoah University Hornets as a long-snapper and outside linebacker. Trevor was an outstanding special teams contributor for the Wolverines providing solid long snapping and extra point snapping.

Aaron Loney will play football next fall at Salisbury University. A three-year starter at outside linebacker, Aaron received All District honors as a junior but was hampered with a knee injury for much of his senior year. Despite the injury, Aaron brought tremendous toughness and leadership to the Wolverine defense and should play strong safety for the Seagulls.

Cole Walter will continue his football career at the University of Virginia Wise. Cole was a four year member of the Wolverines and set numerous records at West Potomac as quarterback, — yards in a season, yards in a career, attempts per game, attempts per season, attempts per career, season touchdown totals and career touchdown totals. Cole also holds the Virginia High School League record for completions in a game with 39.

Daniel Baker will also play football next fall at the University of Virginia Wise as either a running back or safety. Daniel showed tremendous versatility for the Wolverines playing at corner and outside linebacker during his junior and senior years. Daniel rushed for 1325 yards in two seasons at tailback and helped the 2007 Wolverines win a playoff victory against Lake Braddock.
